Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Global Account Manager located in Guadalajara, South Campus.

The Global Account Manager is responsible for managing the awarded business throughout the full lifecycle within a “nurture and care” concept and the direct sale of Flex’s services to targeted accounts. This role ensures proper execution of all business transactions, including achievement of overall financial targets and provides management with information used to evaluate sales opportunities. The Global Account Manager focuses on building close business relationships with customers, supporting sales growth by increasing Flex content and share at specific customers, and driving strategic growth and customer satisfaction.

What a typical day looks like:

Manage relationships with customers for post-awarded programs, overseeing contract renewals, changes, and maintenance.

Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing changes, to meet financial targets.

Handle excess & obsolete claims and inventory reduction activities to achieve Auto Inventory Turn-Over targets.

Lead operating profit enhancement activities and reviews; drive quote vs. actual introduction of commercial, operational, and material cost improvement actions.

Manage and monitor launch of new awarded programs, including financial gate reviews to meet quoted operating profit.

Provide technical and administrative services information, demonstrations, and quotes.

Work with Flex support teams to drive tactical plans and ensure optimal customer solutions.

Manage proper execution of all business transactions for post-awarded business (e.g., price lists, POs, invoicing).

Regularly interact with executives of major prospective customers, involving negotiations and influencing senior managers.

Manage and support prospect tracking and sales forecasting.

Work closely with the Business Development Director to develop accurate 3/5 Year Plans by customer and product.

Drive account financials: review forecast and financial what-if results with sites/program managers, including alignment of forecast derates and recoveries.

Identify and pursue target accounts, determining potential customer opportunities for business in assigned geographic sales territory or industry segment.

Travel to customer locations or Flex sites for business needs (relationship building, meetings, audits, etc.).

Interface and collaborate with internal stakeholders; improve communication and drive best practices across multi-sites.

Build intimacy with existing customers and act as first point of contact for post-awarded programs.

Gain customers’ trust through excellent execution of all types of business relationships.

Provide inputs and participate in overall customer relationship management (relationship matrix).

Key Performance Indicators: quote versus actual, operating profit including profitability improvement on product level, extension business, excess & obsolete management, account receivables, forecast accuracy, Viewpoint.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

BA/BS or equivalent work experience.

English proficiency

May include mentoring junior account managers, supporting cross-functional initiatives, or leading special projects based on expertise and assigned authorities.

Major automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, as well as key internal stakeholders such as Business Development, Sales, and Program Management teams

Sales/account management experience Master’s degree preferred.

Strong background in account management and sales within the European automotive industry.

Experience managing high-level stakeholders and working with multinational customers.

Demonstrated success in complex deal-making and project lifecycle management.

Entrepreneurial spirit with strong negotiation and strategic thinking abilities.

Excellent communication and presentation skills; good learning capability.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

Capability to understand and learn financials and company KPIs.
