Commodity Buyer

What are your main tasks?
Analysing and evaluating procurement markets for the purchasing area concerneCarry out group-wide, international requirement analysis
Bundling requirements and carrying out tenders
Carrying out enquiries, quotation comparisons, evaluations and QAF analysis for series and future series material of the category, considering price, quality, delivery performance and technology
Negotiating contracts with suppliers
Preparation of elaborations for decision-making for the award of contracts in various internal committees (e.g.International Sourcing Table, project team)
Coordination with all departments involved, e.g. project purchasing, category management, development, controlling, legal department, accounting, logistics
Carry out process and value analysis with the selected suppliers
Participation in make-or-buy decisions
Cooperation in supplier evaluations
Leading or participating in escalation talks
What are your qualifications?
Completed university degree (commercial or technical) or completed vocational training with relevant further training (e.g. technician or business economist)
Several years of professional experience in the field of purchasing and/or SCM
Fluency in English (German are an advantage)
Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP is an advantage
Excellent communication skills and pleasure in negotiating
Strong cost awareness and an analytical approach
Assertiveness
Goal-oriented, experienced and independent way of working
Readiness to travel
Ability to work in a team with colleagues and superiors
