Job Summary:
BMO Global Asset Management is seeking a high-performing Vice President to support the execution of the BPIC strategy while working closely with a senior leader responsible for key institutional-style client relationships. This role is well suited for a client-facing professional with a strong analytical foundation, investment fluency, and experience supporting sophisticated client interactions within asset management.
The Vice President will act as a critical extension of the senior lead, combining investment insight, strong client communication, and disciplined execution. The role offers meaningful exposure to clients, investment teams, and senior stakeholders, with real responsibility for shaping deliverables that influence client outcomes. This position is intended for someone ready to exercise sound judgment, represent the platform credibly in client settings, with the opportunity to grow into broader coverage responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Support senior coverage of BPIC-related institutional and institutional-style client relationships, acting as a credible, investment-literate representative of the firm in client interactions.
Participate actively in client meetings and calls, including preparation of materials, discussion support, meeting follow-ups, and ongoing servicing deliverables.
Serve as a key point of contact for select client engagements under senior oversight, demonstrating sound judgment, responsiveness, and professionalism.
Ensure client inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately, coordinating access to portfolio managers, product specialists, and other internal partners as required.
Contribute to a culture of superior client satisfaction, retention, and long term relationship development.
Coverage Strategy & Planning
Represent BMO GAM’s product platform, offering insights on market trends, product innovations, and industry developments.
Support the execution of BPIC-related coverage strategies, aligning activity with client needs and platform priorities.
Lead and support the preparation of customized investment proposals, RFPs, RFIs, and client pitch materials.
Partner with portfolio managers and Investment Counsellors to refine investment narratives, portfolio positioning, and messaging for client and prospect discussions.
Investment & Product Knowledge
Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of BPIC strategies, including investment philosophy, portfolio construction, and sources of return.
Develop familiarity with broader BMO Global Asset Management investment capabilities to support holistic, solutions-oriented client discussions.
Support preparation of client-facing materials such as portfolio updates, performance summaries, and market or investment commentary.
Assist in addressing client inquiries related to portfolio positioning, performance attribution, and investment outcomes.
Internal Coordination & Execution
Act as a key liaison across investment, product, legal, compliance, operations, and marketing teams to support client and business needs.
Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal development, reporting processes, and client-servicing workflows.
Maintain accurate CRM records and support internal reporting, pipeline tracking, and management updates.
Support consistency in messaging and execution across client materials and interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline.
CFA designation completed or significant progress toward completion; must be eligible for registration and client-facing activity.
Typically 4–7 years of experience in asset management, investment consulting, institutional client service, or a related role.
Strong foundation in investment management concepts, portfolio theory, and capital markets.
Demonstrated comfort engaging with sophisticated clients and discussing investment strategies, portfolio construction, and performance.
Strong written and presentation skills, with experience producing polished, client-ready materials.
High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong professionalism, integrity, and commitment to ethical conduct.
Working Conditions: Travel is required to meet client needs and support business development activities.

$89,700.00 - $167,700.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
