This position is for Graphics, Media, Display and Camera team (GMDC) in Edge Software group, Intel Penang campus in Malaysia. We are looking particularly for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electronics/Microelectronics Engineering fresh graduates (Bachelor, or Master) who are passionate about software engineering and willing to grow and learn new technical skills with our team.

Successful candidates will be working within software development engineering teams to work on Linux's Video, Graphics and Display Device drivers. Job responsibility include developing multiple aspects of video/media/graphics driver development, works with various partners to analyze and enhance video/media/graphics performance, implementing new software features and recommending future hardware and software improvements.

Qualifications: Education: You must have a minimum Bachelors degree with at least CGPA 3.0 or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Microelectronics / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or any equivalent qualification.

Experience: Fresh graduate is welcome.

Required skills: 1. Love of programming by heart, willing to learn new skills and technologies. Aspire to be versatile and flexible to work on any kind of technical task. 2. Proficiency in C/C++ programming. Able to write and debug C/C++ code independently. 3. Able to communicate well in English (written and verbal).

Good to have skills: 1. Experience with C/C++ low level programming and embedded software programming. 2. Basic knowledge of Video and Image processing. Concept of Decoding, Encoding and Post-Processing. 3. Knowledge of software life-cycle and proficiency in problem solving. 4. Knowledge of version and change management (such as git). 5. Know how to assembly a PC or an electronic boards.

The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
