The opportunity
We’re currently looking for a Commercial Product Manager to join our Global Commercial team. You will take a senior role in shaping competitive and commercially relevant product offerings across Polestar’s portfolio, acting as the commercial product lead towards Product Management. This role sits at the intersection of product, commercial strategy, fleet, pricing, and launches, with a strong focus on Total Cost of Ownership and market competitiveness.
As part of a global and highly collaborative team, you will be responsible for ensuring commercial alignment across Polestar HQ, regions, and markets throughout the full product lifecycle. You will influence product decisions early, consolidate commercial and fleet requirements, and translate market needs into concrete product and offer recommendations.
This position is preferably located at our Global Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, but we are open to considering placement in one of our markets. We work in a hybrid set-up, combining in-person collaboration with focused remote work. What matters most is having the trust, tools, and time to deliver strong results, together.
The responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to lead and coordinate commercial product, TCO, data, and launch planning activities across global stakeholders. Working as part of the Global Commercial team, you will ensure strong alignment between Product Management, Global Fleet, regions, and markets.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Acting as the senior commercial product lead, ensuring alignment on product content, TCO drivers, data, pricing, and launch planning across HQ, regions, markets, and fleet
- Leading the consolidation, prioritisation, and communication of commercial and fleet requirements into Product Management across the full product lifecycle
- Driving a strong Total Cost of Ownership perspective across the portfolio, covering pricing, specifications, options, residual values, taxation, servicing, and incentives
- Owning and coordinating the Product Data Pack for all products, ensuring high quality, accuracy, and continuous process improvements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Leading the development and evolution of global and regional product offers, ensuring commercial competitiveness and customer relevance over time
The ideal candidate
To succeed in this role, and at Polestar in general, you are strategic, analytical, and highly collaborative. You are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complex decision-making environments. You combine strong commercial acumen with an ability to translate data, market input, and fleet requirements into clear product and offer recommendations that drive business results.
You are structured and confident, yet pragmatic, and you enjoy working in a fast-moving, international environment where priorities evolve and collaboration is key.
In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:
- Experience from commercial product management, pricing, fleet, or similar commercial roles within the automotive industry, enabling you to influence product and commercial decisions effectively
- Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership drivers and fleet customer requirements, allowing you to build competitive and relevant offers
- Experience working closely with product organisations and markets, ensuring alignment across global stakeholders
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, with the ability to analyse complex business cases and trade-offs
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, used to structure insights, recommendations, and decision material
