About the Role

As a Licensed Dedicated Advisor, you'll guide small business owners through one of the most important decisions they make for their teams: health benefits. You'll build lasting relationships with your clients, help them understand their options, and guide them through benefits decisions with clarity and confidence.

This is a high-impact role on a team of licensed benefits experts who serve as trusted partners to employers throughout the benefits life cycle.

What You'll Do

Serve as the primary benefits contact for a portfolio of small group employer clients

Guide clients through the full renewal process — from assessment of needs, plan evaluation, selection through enrollment support

Proactively assess client needs and recommend coverage options (dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA) and plans (SGHI, Level Funded, LGHI) that best fit their teams

Provide clear, approachable guidance on health insurance concepts via phone and email

Ensure clients receive timely, accurate support that meets their needs throughout the year

Meet SLAs and performance standards in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

What We're Looking For

Minimum 4+ years in a customer-facing role; health insurance or benefits experience preferred

Active Life and Health Producer License

Experience supporting a client portfolio or managing ongoing client relationships

A track record of strong client retention and service delivery

Clear communicator who can simplify complex benefits concepts

Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and adapts well to change

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees.
